About

Hoo doo was started in May of 2007 by Bronco Internet, a web development, design and SEO consultancy firm headed by Dave Naylor. One of Dave's friends was in the office takling about the new multivariate testing resurgence started by Google's release of their Website Optmizer product.

We really liked the idea but were unhappy with current solutions. The server-side PHP based suite our friend was using was quite simplistic in its implementation and control. Our main developer was unhappy with Google's offering because a) it required producing unbalanced xHTML and b) it's run by Google. We saw it as legitimised cloacking and we thought it was unfair that only Google would be allowed to take part.

A few weeks later, Hoo Doo was born.

As it happens, the service was much easier to pull together than we expected. We've still got a way to go and our algorithms will never stop evolving.
